Hi everyone,
It's been a while. Our family is in the process of healing and we're doing okay. We appreciate your continued prayers.
We've had a very busy summer. I turned 65 in June. The girls got me a record album... with songs from different decades of my life, and songs that remind them of me. It's amazing! I've been playing records since I was in the 5th grade, and now I have my own. 💖 I love it!
Chuck and I celebrated our 44th Anniversary in August. We walked onto the ferry and rode it from Edmonds to Kingston, and spent some time at the small park there. Then we rode it back again. It only takes an hour or so but it's a nice relaxing trip.
Beth bought some new bowling shoes. The bowling alley she goes to every week has a little pro shop and she loves to go in there. The bowling ball she's had for a while is getting too heavy for her. She's getting older! Her elbow was getting sore so we went to the doctor and turns out she has tennis elbow, so now she's looking at getting a new one.
This summer I went to a dahlia show at our local nursery to get some pictures for my greeting cards. I have some small orange dahlias in the backyard but I had no idea there were so many varieties!
We also went to San Diego for Chuck's 50th high school reunion. Here's a picture to give you an idea of the evening. Chuck is in the dark blue shirt.
I also got to see my sister again while we were down there. In fact, Beth stayed with her while we were at the reunion. They wanted nachos for dinner, then they played Yahtzee and watched TV.
Plus I got to see a couple friends from high school. (Chuck and I went to different schools.) There are five of us that met our freshman year and we're still close today. They're the only two that stayed in San Diego though. It had been a few years since we'd seen each other but it was like no time had passed at all. The older we get the more we cherish these friendships.
Well, it's taken me four days to write this so I'll close and get it posted. We've got a busy October with two birthdays, and a vacation planned.
How are you doing with fall here now? Can you believe it's October already?

I thought I had commented on your last post, but don't see it, so I guess I just read it and never commented, but I was concerned and have even gone back a few times to see if you were okay, so I am happy to see you here now, and I pray that all is well with you and your family. It looks like you've been quite busy in the interim, for maybe that's a good thing! So happy you could visit your sister and also some old school friends. That's always fun! Yes, it's hard to believe that tomorrow begins October. I'm not sure what happened to September...it just blew right through! Take care and may God be with you and your family.
Glad to see that your back. We sure miss you. You’ve been in our prayers
It is so great to have friends from our school days!! Great photo of you and your friends! It's good to catch up with you, Cindy!! Welcome back!
Hi there, so glad to catch up with you guys. I am not sure what has been going on in your life but I am grateful to read you are healing.
Sounds like you have had some enjoyable moments this summer. Good for you guys to go to your hub's reunion. Must have been nice to pick up where you left off with old friends.
Hope Beth's elbow is on the mend and that a lighter bowling ball will keep it that way.
We are embracing the fall temps that have rolled into El Paso this week. Have a pleasant October.

How nice to connect with your friends from school and family! We didn't make it to San Diego this year since our dog is sick. I hope Beth's arm heals quickly!
You did have a busy summer and it looks like a rewarding one with family and friends. I'm confused about the healing. Perhaps I missed a post back a bit.
Hello! I am praying for your intentions, my friend. Happy and Blessed birthday to you! I love Beth's hair! Please tell her for me. And Happy October!
The record gift is amazing. I didn't know you could do that - have a record made with fav songs, like a mix tape. So cool and thoughtful. Looks like the visits were a ton of fun.
We are enjoyinig some amazing weather - 60s or low 70s and sunny. I'll take it, knowing winter is around the corner. Reg comes home next week and he's hoping to caddy and make some money and the weather looks like it'll cooperate.
Hugs my friend. Glad you’re back.
Glad you are better. It looks like you have had some nice events and time with friends and your sister.
