Help! I Want You Back!

I've just learned that Feedburner is no longer allowing email subscriptions. I thought I saw something about this a long time ago but nothing ever changed. I'm not tech savvy enough to understand what exactly was going to happen... and now I'm not getting many of your blogs in my email anymore! It's been a couple of weeks and I've been trying to figure out what happened. Now I know.

I've tried going to some of your blogs to follow there but that doesn't always work. Bloglovin' says the page isn't available; some blogs don't show a way to follow... does anyone have any ideas for getting blog notifications? I miss you guys!! 😟

Golf Cart Races and Creepy Foyers

We fly out tomorrow so I wanted to write a post before we left. Chuck fixed our email issue this morning so now I can post a few pictures!

I caught Beth at work last week. She doesn't know I took this picture! She's already doing the job by herself, I don't even have to go with her anymore. And actually, I haven't in quite a while. She really learned it fast: clocking in and out, where to get all the supplies, and she loves it. She can't wait to go to work every week!

Pulling double shifts last week was kinda creepy. Our church is busy 7 days a week and there's always something going on so having to close up late at night after everyone's gone home was scary! I kept looking over my shoulder making sure no one was following me!

Yesterday we celebrated Bosses Day by hosting the 'International Raceway'!! We've spent more than 3 months planning this and the pastors had a blast! We rented a golf cart and had them drive it through an obstacle course, over ramps, around trash cans while they tried to shoot a basketball, backing up around sharp turns, they screeched the tires, one almost tipped over, another almost fell out... we were all (the pastors included!) laughing so hard! Then we headed inside for pulled pork burgers and potato salad. The day was a success!

Two of my co-workers (and co-conspirators!) taking it for a spin before everyone got there.

Some of the support staff getting their instructions before the pastors arrived.

Having lunch

It was so much fun planning it, all the secret meetings, hiding the cones and flags... but we did it! The pastors had no idea! It was awesome!

Frozen Yogurt Anyone?

Chuck emailed me at work last week and asked if I wanted to eat dinner down at the beach. We could get some sandwiches from Subway, take them down to the beach, then stop on the way home for some frozen yogurt. I LOVE it when he asks questions like that!

It was cold and breezy, of course. I think we're the only place in the nation that isn't melting in a heat wave. Nope, good 'ol Seattle is wet and cold. We sure are living up to our reputation this year!

It was fun! I kept taking pictures of Beth and Diana but Diana wasn't happy with them so she took some herself. The Facebook Pose, she calls it.

Yea, maybe Diana's did turn out better.

It finally got too cold to be at the beach so we went for frozen yogurt. Makes sense, doesn't it?! :) This new yogurt place just opened up a few weeks ago and it is amazing! We always go to The Yogurt Mill when we're in San Diego and now we have our own shop right here at home!

It's a cute little place with fun decor and lots of places to sit. You help yourself to 10 different flavors; many of them change from week to week. Although I've noticed the Chocolate and the Peanut Butter have been there every time we've gone. SO good! Then you choose your toppings, everything from fresh fruit to gummy bears, chocolate chips and even cut up waffles! Haven't tried that yet. Not sure I will.

I realized after we got home that I never took a picture of the yogurt! Sorry 'bout that! Trust me though, it was delicious!
