How Was Yours?

May 13, 2005. It was 26 years ago today that my mom died. She was born in Massachusetts and her family moved to San Diego when she was 13. She met my dad a few years later. He was a sailor in the Navy and she was smitten!

Me and my girls

You know, while looking for photos for this post I searched a long time but couldn't find a current photo of me and my girls! You can bet that when Diana and Peter are here next month, that's one thing I want to do!

The girls all got me great gifts for Mother's Day, and we went out for lunch. (Missing Diana and Peter's family of course.) But I had a very good day.

How was your Mother's Day? Did you do anything special?

Sweet photos that I'm sure were filled with good memories. I was traveling over Mother's day and it was good.

What wonderful photos you shared with us. Your Mom was beautiful. We had a lovely breakfast at church, prepared, served and cleaned up by the men! Then we had lunch out with our daughter's in-laws in a very, very small town in Nebraska. The food was amazing.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy

Such beautiful pictures of your Mom. She was so pretty. I love the one of her holding a baby doll! And I love your group photos too. I know what you mean about finding recent pictures of the family together. I try to do that everytime we are together. I've learned the hard way that we never know when it will be the last one of everyone together, and so I keep making sure we take them. The only bad thing is, I never print pictures anymore. They are either in my phone or my computer. I don't know if future generations will be able to find them! That's something I need to work on! Happy belated Mother's Day. I had a great day. We spread it out over several days because we couldn't all be together at the same time this year. Life is short...take the pictures!!!

Sending ((HUGS)) Thank you for sharing this about your Mom. Nice that you went out to lunch for Mother's Day. We went out to dinner on Saturday night with Adam, Gabby and James.

Those anniversaries pop up and bring all kinds of memories and yes, sadness, too. Mom missed so much of my life. Than you for sharing these. Your mother was just lovely and isn't it terrific to have this library of images from your past?

Those are nice pictures of your mom. I can see pictures of my mom now without getting so sad. I bet you understand that. I hope you had a nice Mother's Day!
