Beth and I were sitting at the kitchen table last weekend looking out the front window and I told her it looked like a picture postcard.
She said, "A marshmallow world!"
Last weekend we got about 10 inches of snow. This doesn't happen very often in Seattle, usually just a trace to 2 inches each year but this much snow? Not very often at all!
It snowed for 3 days straight and Beth and I were more than happy to hunker down at home and just look at it through the windows. I did venture out a little to take some pictures but Chuck still had to go to work.
After a few days the temps warmed up and Beth and I ventured out to the grocery store.
Got our groceries and made our way home. This is quite exciting stuff around these parts!
As I write this, it's completely melted and life is back to normal. And I can't help but think about everyone in Texas who is dealing with such extreme weather right now. We have friends who lost power and had to go stay with family members until things begin to improve there. We're praying for you Texas!
Have you been impacted by the weather in Texas? Do you have family or friends dealing with it?

Love your "marshmallow world" pictures. It does look so clean and white and fluffy like a marshmallow. No, here in Florida we have not been impacted by this last week's weather much...had a lot of rain and some severe thunderstorms, but nothing bad hit us. It was a nice day today in the low 70's. Our thoughts and prayers have been with the people of Texas especially this past week...this has been very hard on so many. Praying God will help them all to get back to normal as soon as possible. I think everyone is ready for spring...
Snow is more fun when you don't get a lot of it all the time!
Rick's mom is still in the nursing home in Dallas. They have power but we are worried about her house. We think it's OK... but who knows?
It's always a major event when snow falls in the Puget Sound. Glad you could enjoy it. We do have family in Texas and they were some of the fortunate ones who did not suffer too much. It's a sad situation for many.
Beautiful.

Her comment was so cute! That's a lot of snow and it looks beautiful.
My MIL is 93 and had to deal with the weather in Houston. I felt so bad for her. Her one son who lives about a half hour away couldn't even come to get her because of the roads.
