Saturday Snippets - Empty Pallets, National Parks, Speeding

Chuck got me the Legacy Box for my birthday this year. It's a company that restores old photos, reel to reel films... and puts them on DVD's or thumb drives. I went through everything and finally decided what I wanted, (10 items) packed it all up and it's ready to go. I have film from when my mom was 12 years old, some from when my sisters were little before I was born... I can't wait to get it back and see it all!

A police officer knocked on our door the other day and asked if they could put a speed radar thing in our driveway. (It's not the driveway we use.) The speed limit is only 35 but cars go so fast on our street, some of them really fly by our house, it's scary! We'll see how many of them will slow down when they see this thing.

I'm slowly making progress on my puzzle. Sharaya came over the other day and did most of the black lettering on the bottom. I'm doing a little more each day but I sure have a long way to go!

I'm in charge of Purchasing at work so I've been scrambling to find disinfecting wipes. We have disinfectant in spray bottles that the custodians use in the bathrooms and on door handles, push bars, etc. but the staff has been disinfecting the seats and arm rests in the Sanctuary after every service and these are easier to use. We were down to our last container when a friend texted me and said Costco has a pallet of the wipes! It's only a mile from me so I was there in less then 20 minutes and this is all that was left!

It was a limit of one (one pack of 5) so I got mine and left. The next day another friend said the Business Costco had some so I flew down to that one and they had 4 pallets completely full! Whew. I got another pack of 5 and now I'm a little relieved. We have enough to last us a little while now. So what's it like where you are? Are your stores still out of certain items? Are things hard to get?

You are lucky to get the wipes. We got a few. I did make my own alcohol spray that we use. I will have my husband check this week when he goes to Sam's Club.

It's so hard to find Clorox wipes but generic wipes are easy to get.

Hope people slow down. That looks like a difficult puzzle. I need to start a new one here. I miss having a business Costco close by. Have a great Sunday.

I hope the radar sign slows people down! We see a few more of those around now that school has started. I haven't paid attention to the disinfectant wipes because we had plenty when all of this hit. Most of our stores seem to be well-stocked with inventory though there are still limits on some things. Wishing you a good week ahead!

I wish they would put a speed radar in front of our house. It is supposed to be just 25 MPH, but they do fly around there and it comes right up to a sharp turn. People make me very nervous the way they drive. That is why we had to find a different place to take our walks, out in a wooded area with no houses and just dirt roads. We rarely see any vehicles at all, so it is nice and peaceful. Glad you were able to find the Clorox wipes that you needed. Call me bad, but I don't use them so I haven't paid any attention to whether or not there are any. I know it is hard to find gallon jugs of bleach, and the price has certainly gone up. But I understand you have to have those for your church. I bet buildings and businesses are cleaner than they've ever been before. Have a blessed week and take care!

That will be fun to get your film on DVD's. Hope people will learn to slow down. Yes that puzzle looks very difficult. I know I can never find disinfecting wipes. Got some from my son recently. I think I will be making more again with a paper towel roll.

You've been busy. I need to start buying more wipes and such now before the fall rush is on. The LEgacy materials look interesting -- I could use that service!
