Ravioli, Old Age, Facing Fears

After church on Sunday we went to The Old Spaghetti Factory for lunch. I forget how much I love that place! The food, the interior design, it's such a fun place to eat.

After lunch we headed to Target and JC Penney to look for more wedding accessories and just general things. You know, socks, Chuck needed a new belt, all those little things you put off buying until it's critical? 😊

First was Target. I always come out spending a lot more than I planned!

Then at Penney's Beth tried on some cute shirts and when we needed to head up the escalator she got on first! I was shocked! She's always been nervous about going on the escalator. She's always had me go first. When it's all three of us Chuck will go first, then Beth and me and I see how she mimics him. But yesterday she just hopped right on like it was nothing! She was even holding her new shirts!

So we finally got everything we needed and headed home.

We. Were. Exhausted.

Then I looked at my phone and started doing the math. From the time we left the restaurant to the time we got home, it had been a little over 2 hours. We had only been shopping for two hours! And we were beat! Our knees ached, our backs were sore, our feet hurt... gosh we're getting old.

Sounds like a fun afternoon regardless of being beat!

Sounds like a fun day! I don't think I've ever been to a spaghetti factory! I don't think they have them down here, but maybe they do in Orlando. I try to avoid that place. Anyway, glad you got some shopping done. sounds wonderful. When is the wedding?

It's amazing how tiring shopping can be! That is great how Beth just got on the elevator herself! When is the wedding?

I do like the Old Spaghetti Factory. Their food is so yummy! We have one here in Phoenix but haven't eaten there yet. Good for Beth conquering the escalator!

Concrete floors in stores do me in. Can't walk long on them before my knees start bothering me. The fun of aging!

I do that sometimes - I get so exhausted doing simple things & I'm like WHOOOF - that's tough to the ego to know how exhausted I get now.

I wish we had a, Spaghetti Factory here, I love their food! Anytime there is a wedding to get ready for, everything seems harder...I get exhausted just hearing about shopping!!

I haven't been to a Spaghetti Factory in years. Glad you got some shopping done and way to go Beth for getting on the escalator first! I find I start to ache more the longer I'm out and about. I think for me it was the lack of activity during the shut down. Have a nice weekend.
