I Think the Crows Read My Blog

Beth had another dentist appointment this week. She's got to have a total of 3 root canals plus a crown. This was her second visit for all of this work and I'm nervous for her, but she's perfectly fine with it. The endodontist keeps talking about how good she is as a patient. We got there early and she fell asleep in the waiting room.

I made a few more greeting cards. I really love doing this, it takes me out of my routine and I get to be creative. It really is therapeutic.

In my last post I wrote about how the crows were dive bombing this poor hawk. I really think the crows are the bullies of the bird world! Well, Beth and I ran some errands after her dentist appointment and a crow pooped on me!! We were walking out of Safeway and had just cleared the roof when... splat!! It was like he was waiting for me! And it's a brand new sweater, the first time I'd ever worn it!

I cleaned it with cold water before throwing it in the wash. Thankfully it all came out and it looks like new again.

Have you ever had a bird poop on you?

What do you do to relax or get out of a rut?

Oh dear ! Yes I have had a bird poop on me. Once, at a special meeting for "back to school staff" at the beginning of a new school year, some of us were sitting outside on the steps eating our lunch. I was wearing a brand new blouse that I was very proud of...pretty teal blue, my favorite color. Suddenly I felt something very wet hit my back and slide down. I looked up above me and there were pigeons sitting there just laughing at me! I was quite disgusted and embarrassed because what was I supposed to do? I couldn't take my blouse off and wash it...I still had the rest of the day to get through. The mean thing was, this meeting was being held at my old Alma Mater, and it was like that pigeon was just waiting for me to come back after all those years to get me! LOL. I don't remember what I ended up doing...I think I went in the bathroom and took it off and washed it out, and had to put it back on and wear it wet for the rest of the afternoon. Needless to say, I watch out for pigeons wherever I go. Glad Beth is handling her dental work well. So sorry she has to go through so much. Hope it will be over soon.

Good for Beth for being such a good patient at the dentist! I'm not fond of going to them myself. Oh my with the bird poop!! Fortunately that has never happened to me but happened to my brother in law when taking a walk along the ocean one time. For me if I am in a rut or need to relax, I try to find a good book to get lost in or listen to some praise music. Happy weekend!

Crows are so smart. I always try to be kind to them. Sorry about the poop. I've probably been the victim of bird poop but not recently and that I can specifically remember. A duck ran into Dear while he was walking on the UW campus trying to get away from a crow. The duck not dear. :)
Glad Beth doesn't mind dental work because that's a lot of stuff to deal with. I'd be traumatized! Yard work I find to take me out of the everyday kind of stuff.

Your cards are gorgeous, Cindy. And well done, Beth! I chill by baking or painting or reading. Or sometimes, just doing not much at all!
