Pessimist or Optimist?

I tend to be a pessimist.

I find myself always leaning toward the negative when telling a story or recalling a situation, and I don't like that about myself.

So I want to start my own Thankful Thursday. To remind myself
there's always something to be thankful for.

This week I'm thankful for:

A lazy day at home
Snow on the ground
Adventures with family
Chuck coming home for lunch every day
Celebrating a friend who is living free from drugs
Getting to tell an employee they're getting a raise

What about you, do you consider yourself a pessimist or an optimist?

Interesting... I've always read your blog as you being an optimist, you always seem to find joy in the small things others would miss

I tend toward the positive. It's always a good exercise to give thanks!

I always do my best to stay optimistic, but I do have a lot of bad luck.... I just try to make the most of it :-) Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Blessings,
Jill

Hi Cindy~

I love this idea! I'm pretty optimistic, but I find that if I watch the news too much, I feel a little pessimistic about life, so I try to limit my news to local news. There really are so many things in an ordinary day that we have to be thankful for, and your list was wonderful! One of the things I am so thankful for are good friends, like you! Someone I have never met but really do feel such a connection to!

Have a wonderful Friday!!

Hugs and Love,
Barb

I would never have thought of you as being negative..as much as you love Beth and how hard yo0u try to make her life easier. I just d0n't believe you are pessimistic as you think. Sometimes, I think we tend to think of ourselves one way and people see us as another. I believe you should give yourself a break and step back and see that you have never given up on raising Beth, even with a lot of hardships....to me, that kind of love leaves no room for negativ3 thoughts....xoxoxoxoxo
I admire you so much.
