Together, Friday Night Lights, Two

Beth was born on October 10 and two years later Sharaya was born on October 6. For Sharaya's birthday this year we went to a high school football game at her Alma Mater. Then we came here for cake and presents. I remembered to take pictures of the game but forgot at the house. :(

Then for Beth's birthday we took her to her favorite restaurant, Red Robin. And had cake and gifts here at the house. Both birthdays were pretty low key this year.

Beth was just learning to walk when Sharaya was born. By the time Sharaya was two they were about the same size and about the same mentally. It was like having twins. Plus Chuck's mom and sister liked to dress them alike. :)  Chuck's sister never married or had kids of her own and loved buying our girls clothes! And we loved her for doing it!

Sharaya quickly became the best big sister to Beth, helping her in school, and teaching her how to do things at home. As adults Beth is quiet and a loner and rarely initiates contact so as a single mom who works full time Sharaya tries to keep their relationship close. Sometimes she'll plan the event and drive, and Beth will pay.  :)  They make a good team.

I am thinking Sharaya lives there near you guys. Is that right? How sweet that she and Beth have been so close all their lives. Really enjoyed the pictures over the years of the girls together. My daughters are very opposite in many ways but now that they are both mommies, they are more similar and closer. My sister and I were talking this week and realized that we truly became much closer in middle age. And talk to each other every day. Sounds like both birthday girls were well celebrated. Hope Beth is feeling better these days.

What a wonderful sister story! I love seeing the pictures of them growing up, and I love that Sharaya has continued to stay so close to Beth even now that they are adults. Sounds like the birthday parties were pretty sweet and special for each of them...what they both liked. Happy Birthday to both of your girls. October 6th was my oldest brother's (Russell) birthday (RIP) and also our grandson Noah's birthday. My other brother Clifford's birthday is Oct. 10th. So October is a busy month for birthdays in our family too.

Happy birthday to your girls. (belated). These are great photos. They do make a great team. How fun to have an aunt interested in dressing them up. Sometimes a low key birthday is just the thing.
