Just Beginning

I decided I was going to sit down and write about our trip so I got my phone and uploaded a few photos. Hahahaha!! More than 250 pictures later... I figured I should probably just start writing! 😂

There were so many surprises.

So many beautiful moments.

The flight down... the views were spectacular.

Exploring the resort was so fun and sometimes took my breath away!

We celebrated Chuck's birthday while we were there. Restaurants were open and we found one that served steak, his favorite! Plus Diana had some cheesecake delivered to our room.

Sunset Cliffs! We hadn't been there in forever and while I was walking around I came across this arch. It was beautiful!

There's so much more but I'm going to stop for tonight.

As I type this the snow is falling. We're expecting anywhere from 3-8 inches tonight, it all depends on if the storm stalls over us or if the winds pick up... so I'll be awake most of the night, getting out of bed every so often to look out the window. I absolutely love the snow! As long as I don't have to drive in it. Which unfortunately is exactly what Chuck is doing right now. Driving a large city bus. Until 12:30am. 😬 Every time I look outside I pray for him. And you can bet I'm looking outside a lot!

Have you flown anywhere lately?

Do you like to fly?

Are you getting snow this weekend?

Nice pictures, where did you go? I use to be afraid to fly and was almost 40 before my first flight. I have been to NY once and Hawaii 4 times. We are suppose to go at the end of 2021 but we will see what is happening with Covid. Glad you and your husband had a nice mini vacation.

We haven't flown anywhere in a long time. It is not our favorite thing to do. The flying part is okay but the airport crush and all the security stuff is so off-putting. I would rather drive. You got some great shots though! Beautiful!!

Your trip looks wonderful with a great combination of things to enjoy. Woohoo for being able to sit in a restaurant and eat! You got more snow than we have on this side of the mountains. It just started snowing here today and is still snowing but we are only expecting 3-5 inches today. I trust Chuck had a safe night of driving and is home safe and sound. We flew to Arizona in January. Won't be flying anywhere anytime soon. Our kids will be flying from Seattle to Spokane in March for a family birthday weekend. Happy President's day to you!

Thank you for visiting my blog and for your kind comments. I don't think I've been to your blog before but I love your trip photos. I'm a mom of girls too so we have that in common. I am Nana to boys though and am loving that world too : ) We love to travel! I'm a nervous flyer which is one reason I tell people God moved me to England. I had to get over it. Ha! I'm not over it, but I fly because I want to see my people. We have not been on an airplane since Covid struck. Our last trip was a biggie though-we went to South Korea to visit our daughter and her family and to help with her then two year old son while she was having her second. We also made a side trip to Tokyo on the way home and we loved it all so much. We look forward to future travel someday. We live in the Upstate of SC so not a lot of snow here ever. Rain, however is another story this winter.

I love/hate flying. I seem to always get patted down, but I have preCheck now, that helps. I've been to Florida from NY 3 times in the last six months, and am flying down again next month, to see my MIL, 91 living alone. Also to the beach, of course. I'm hoping to fly out to Salem Oregon in June, my daughter is having her second child. I like to visit my son in California when I can. One of my boys is in Virginia, it's less than seven hours to drive, so no flying to there. I get more nervous in a car on a busy highway than I do flying, even internationally, over the oceans. Your pics are lovely, what fun!!!!

Beautiful photos. So glad you enjoyed your time away. I think we all need a getaway about now. That arch is really stunning. Fabulous photos.

Really beautiful pictures! Where were you? Looks like a wonderful trip...so happy you and Chuck could get away. I don't mind flying...it's been a few years now, last trip was to Maine for our grandson's graduation. We used to go every year when our son was still living.
Thank you for sharing your pictures, that was a wonderful trip!! Blessings...

Absolutely beautiful! I need a trip like that. No we haven't flown anywhere and will not for a long time. Flying is not my favorite but I do okay. No snow for us. Have a great weekend.

Nice Mountain shot! This is jill from Pacific Northwest Seasons blog; I just saw your comment on my blog. Glad I could help. San Diego looks wonderful and warm. And nice Husky hat on Chuck (?). Looks like you're getting decent traffic and interaction here on your blog, nice! I don't post as much as I used to, but still, it's nice to add things when the spirit moves me. Hope you enjoyed the show. Cheers!
