Hello,
It's about 6:00 Saturday evening as I write this. This time of year it stays light until 10pm and it still confuses me. Doing stuff around the house I wonder why I'm yawning, then I realize it's 9:30. A few years ago we'd still be out working in the yard at that time but not anymore. Our age is catching up to us!
Speaking of working out in the yard, I thought I would share a few of our plants. One of the hydrangeas out under the trees, and one of the hostas by the house.
Then some foxglove in the backyard.
Beth and I got our hair cut yesterday, basically the same style just shorter. I'll try to get some after pictures in the next few days.
The Lord woke me up very early this morning and told me to 'Pray over your house.' So I did. Went into every room and prayed for peace, and joy and protection against the enemy. After a while I fixed some tea and went to sit in the backyard. When I looked up at the clouds I saw this:
In Genesis God tells Noah that when He brings the clouds over the earth and a rainbow appears, He will remember the covenant He made with Noah, and with all generations to come. I want to think it was His way of telling me He heard my prayers. It was such a sweet time with my Savior.
We're celebrating Pentecost Sunday tomorrow. When people in our congregation who were born outside the U.S. kind of do a 'Parade of Flags' then they all go up on the platform and we celebrate the Lord of the Nations. It's one of my favorite days of the year. These pics are from last year:
It's always an emotional day. I'll close this for now. I pray you're all doing well.

Your yard is looking beautiful! Gorgeous flowers and I love those clouds!
Getting hair done always seems so relaxing. It's pampering ourselves and that is something we really need to do! Your church's Parade of Flags is so interesting! What a great way to celebrate Pentecost Sunday! The rainbow over your home is certainly a sign that your prayers were heard!! xo
Those flowers are gorgeous. Very pretty! And it's always nice to get haircuts. I am due for one next week. Glad you listened to the Holy Spirit nudging you to pray over your house. We may never know why things like that happen, but it's always good to listen and obey the Lord when you sense His presence. And that rainbow in the clouds is amazing!!! What a gift! I love the pictures of the flags of the nations and all those who have been redeemed by the Lord! What a powerful picture! I remember our churches doing this at our missionary conventions...when the missionaries from all the countries they serve in come and bring the flags and march in together. I think about heaven and all those who will be there from every tribe and nation! It definitely gives me "holy goosebumps". (((hugs))) Blessings to you and yours.
Your hydrangeas are just beautiful.
Love when you just get the acknowledgement from God that He's listening! & He Remembers!
Oh, I like the idea of praying over your house, and going from room to room to do so. I used to have a cross wall near the door of my bedroom in my little house. Before I would leave my room to start my day, I would pray over the crosses, each cross was purchased with someone in my family, special friends, even my students in mind. I have moved away from doing that because my cross wall is not in a place where I see them daily. But I miss doing that and having that sweet time in communication with God. Going to try to get back to that. Thank you for inspiring me.
We saw a very similar cloud formation/rainbow last summer over the mission we were visiting in San Antonio. It was a moving experience.
Hello! I love getting a fresh haircut! Thank you for sharing your beautiful flowers. My mom had hydrangeas in our yard when I was young. We always had our Easter pictures taken in front of them. Thank you for the memories.
Amen. I love nature.
