An Odd Season

Hello! Things have been... odd around here lately. For me anyway.

Since I stopped being Custodial Supervisor I've got time on my hands, but haven't wanted to do a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g. I keep up with the dishes and laundry and... but I'm spending a lot of time just watching Christmas movies. I'm trying to give myself a little slack, knowing this quiet season won't last forever. :)

I felt prompted by the Holy Spirit to go to the Harvest Party at church. Not to announce it or ask the new Lead Custodian E, if he needed me, I was just to show up. As I walked in the door our boss was there. He took me aside and said E was struggling with some personal things and would be going home early. So I ended up being Supervisor that night. I love it when the Lord goes before us and solves an issue before we even know there is one. He is such a good God.

This is photo of just one of our classrooms for the Harvest Party. This was the maze room for those 6 and under!

Almost every day Beth comes home and sits in her recliner. While we were at lunch today she said she was going to take a nap in it when we got home. :)

Please vote. We are privileged to live in a country where we get to choose our leaders. I'm praying a lot for this upcoming election. Especially for peace in our cities, no matter who is elected. I also pray the Lord would put in office whomever He needs at this time in history. Oh Lord we need you!

I've been away for a little while and I had missed several posts, so I just went back and read about the birthday parties, etc., but I wasn't sure about you saying that you've changed your job. maybe I did remember hearing you were going to do something different, but didn't realize what or when. Anyway, I loved all the birthday party pictures for both girls, and that everyone, especially Beth, had such a wonderful time in all of the above events. Loved the pictures. Thank you for sharing your family with us. You are blessed to have such a sweet family, and I love seeing how everyone loves one another so much! This was so sweet!!!

How great that you were right where you were supposed to be to fill in for the new custodian supervisor. Beth's recliner is her happy place... that's what I call my recliner!! Wishing you blessings in this new week!

I'm also praying for the election. I'm feeling a little anxious but I know God is in control. He is still on the throne and will be regardless of who wins the election.

Look at those patriotic babies. Three little dolls. You are not kidding, heaven help our country. We are going out of town this week for a little getaway but I am kind of nervous because of the election and not knowing what may come the morning after the election.
So glad Beth likes her recliner. Looks very comfy.
It might be kind of nice if you can fill in now and then for the new custodial supervisor or leader. If you are like me, we can only take so much TV watching and twiddling our thumbs. Especially after always working and being busy.
The classroom looks incredible. My goodness, you guys go all out. Beautiful!!

Your harvest festival looks like it is well planned. What a blessing that you could step in and supervise at the last minute. Praying with many about tomorrow and the days to come.
